Biography & Contact Page
I was born in March of 1970 in Burlington, Vermont. I attended Milton, Jr. Sr. High School where I graduated in 1988 at which point, being a Lieutenant in the Vermont State Civil Air Patrol I debated with the idea of entering the military. For various reasons (none being anything negative towards our excellent armed forces, whom I have nothing but the utmost respect for) I elected to go in to the work force and attend college part-time. I studied Computer Science, Political Science and Theater at the University of Vermont, eventually after many years I received a Master’s Degree in Management of Information Systems from Columbus University where I graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Over the years I’ve worked in a few industries, education, finance and intellectual property, where I’ve been deeply involved in information systems. I am currently the Director of Technology for the premiere Intellectual Property firm in the United States, ipCapital Group.
In my spare time my hobbies have been studying Martial Arts where I hold advanced belts in Kempo Karate and Judo and have had the honor of being promoted by O’Sensei Phillip Porter himself, former Chairman of the U.S. Olympic Judo Committee. I also enjoy collecting knives, amateur astronomy, and craft beer brewing.
Another thing I’ve always been fascinated with is Science Fiction. I remember being 6 years old and watching CBC repeats of Star Trek on a small black and white TV. In 1977 Star Wars hooked me as a Sci-Fi / Fantasy junky for life!
In 2002 I reconnected with an old friend, James Cawley in New York and eventually came on board as a PA for Star Trek: New Voyages, a web series that he developed based on the original Star Trek created by Gene Roddenberry. To make a long story short my theater background helped me land the role of Montgomery Scott, which I play today in the series.
In 2013 signed with Dragon Phoenix Media to author a 6 issue comic book titled “Mars Versus Earth” and I am very proud to have finished my first novel entitled “Virtual Disaster” in 2015 and am working on the second novel in the series for release in 2016.
In October of 2005 I married a wonderful women Amanda Shepard. This has greatly expanded my family as it was down only to my dad and sister. I now have a large extended family whose family tree includes such luminaries as Alan Shepard the first American in space. We reside in Vermont with our Turkish Angora “Kit-teh” named Ice.
